Dubsado 3.0’s Flows (formerly known as Workflows in Dubsado 2.0) are one of the most powerful features for automating client experiences — not just onboarding, but also structured program delivery that unfolds over time. With flows, you can design your client journey so that lessons, emails, forms, or tasks are automatically delivered at scheduled intervals after a client signs up. This lets you offer a drip-style program that feels personalized and intentional, without requiring you to manually send each step yourself.
Important note: Dubsado is not designed to function as an all-in-one online course platform with structured course modules housed inside the system. Instead, it can be harnessed as a powerful delivery engine — allowing you to create a thoughtfully sequenced series of emails that drip over time and deliver your program content. These emails can include links to videos, worksheets, handouts, or any other materials that make up your program.
In this guide, we’ll walk through how to set up and use Dubsado flows to deliver your dripped program content — from creating your baseline flow template to triggering actions on a schedule based on your program structure.
Here's how to get started with Creating a Flow, or Modifying an Existing Flow:
→ Start by navigating to the Flows tab on the left sidebar
→ Ensure you're clicked into "Flow Templates", though this should be selected by default
→ You can click the "+" sign to create a brand new Flow Template

→ Update the title of your new Flow
→ Select "Send Email" from the list of Flow actions

Set up your first (intro) dripped email
Once your Flow is created and open:
Click “Send Email.”
In the email editor:
Write your intro subject line
Input your intro body text
Click the link icon to insert a link to your video, worksheet, or course content.
Ensure the checkboxes to open in a new tab, and to create this link as a button are checked
In the “When” section:
Ensure it is set to Relative
Set the trigger to “0 days after this workflow starts.” (This means the email will send immediately when the flow is triggered.)
Click Create to finalize this step.
Add your next dripped email
Click “Send Email” again to add your next message in the sequence.
From here, you can repeat the same process — adjusting the timing in the “When” section (for example: 1 week after the workflow starts) to begin dripping your program content over time.

Continue this process until you have added all of the drip emails for your program.

How to enroll clients into your dripped program
Once your Dubsado flow is built, the next step is getting your clients (or program participants) into it automatically.
There are a few different ways you can do this, depending on your setup:
Use a Zap (Zapier): Connect your checkout, form, or course platform to Dubsado so that when someone purchases or registers, they’re automatically added to your account and enrolled in the workflow.
Use a Dubsado Lead Capture Form: You can direct buyers to this form after purchase (for example, by setting it as your checkout Success URL), which will create their project in Dubsado and trigger your drip flow.
Sell via a Dubsado Public Proposal: This allows you to present your program, collect payment, and automatically start the workflow in one seamless step — no extra tools required.
Whichever method you choose, the key is that your Dubsado flow becomes the engine that delivers your dripped program content over the designated time period.
