Start and End Dates help define project timing, organize your dashboard, and support date-based Flow automations when needed.
Your client can set their own Start Date if that field is included in a Questionnaire and connected in your automated Flow, but sometimes you may still need to manually set a Start (and End) Date depending on the project or onboarding method.
How to Set Project Dates
To set your project dates, begin here:
→ Navigate to Projects on the left sidebar
→ Click into Jobs (or Leads)→ Locate your client in the list
→ Click the empty space under the Project Date column

OR
→ Open the client’s Project and click Select Date Range

Both methods lead to a similar date selection screen.
How to Input Dates

→ Click the Start box
→ Select the Start Date

→ Click the End box
→ Select the End Date
Bloom’s method is to keep timelines flexible. Because project dates often shift, we typically set the same date for Start and End to avoid locking a timeline that may change.

If your business relies on defined timelines, you can select a project End Date that fits your client.
Certain Flow Triggers can reference End Dates to automate follow-ups or status changes, so this can be helpful depending on your process.
If you do opt for selecting an End Date that comes AFTER the selected Start Date, it;s important to consider this toggle setting.
By default, if you select a Start Date and End Date that are different, this setting will say "Show as Busy" and this will mean that you will be completely unavailable on all of your Schedulers - nobody will be able to book an appointment with you. So it's important that you toggle this setting to "Show as available" if you wish to continue receiving bookings during your client's project timeline.
