Google Drive is one of the simplest ways to store, organize, and share files online. Whether you’re sending a document to a client, collaborating with a team member, or submitting homework, Google Drive makes it easy to upload files and share them with just a few clicks.
In this tutorial, we’ll walk through exactly how to upload a file to Google Drive and share it with others. By the end, you’ll know how to generate a shareable link, adjust access permissions, and confidently send your files to anyone who needs them.
Let’s get started.
To visit the Google Drive, simply type that into your google search bar.
1) Click to "Sign In" (you must have a gmail account)

2) Select "+ New"
3) Select "New Folder" (we strongly recommend using Folders to organize your files)
4) Title your folder

5) Click into the new folder you just created

6) Click "+ New"
7) Click "File Upload"

8) Once your file is uploaded, click the 3 dots to view more actions
9) Click "Share" on the list of options, and click "Share" again when the second option presents itself

10) Click the dropdown next to the access setting

11) Choose "Anyone with the link"
The default setting is that "Anyone with the link can view" but you can adjust that setting as needed.
12) Click "Copy Link"
This is your sharable link.
